Dr. Kelsey Cervantes

DVM from Iowa State University

Dr. Kelsey Cervantes an associate veterinarian and started at West Villa in September 2026. She graduated from Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Since she was five years old, she’s wanted to be a veterinarian and has been blessed to be able to fulfill that dream. She enjoys developing relationships with patients and their people and helping owners navigate the human animal bond through good and bad times. In her spare time, she enjoys many outdoor activities, gardening, and spending time with my family. She has two dogs, two cats, two guinea pigs, and a leopard gecko. Dr. Cervantes is originally from Kearney and after graduating from vet school, she took a job in the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon. She enjoyed her time there immensely, but is thankful to be back in the Cornhusker State!

Dr. Leigh Premo

DVM from University of Illinois

Dr. Leigh Premo earned her undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Illinois. She has a broad interest in veterinary medicine, with particular areas of interest including oncology, ultrasonography, and geriatric care. Her passion for veterinary medicine began with her lifelong love of animals and science and was further inspired by the sudden loss of a beloved childhood pet. That experience motivated her to pursue a career dedicated to helping animals and improving their quality of life.

Dr. Premo is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and is committed to continually expanding her knowledge and skills so she can provide the highest quality care possible. She is also passionate about fear-free veterinary medicine and strives to make every visit as compassionate, comfortable, and stress-free as possible for her patients.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Premo enjoys spending time with friends and family, staying active through walking, hiking, running, and strength training, and reading. She also enjoys attending concerts featuring her partner, Tyler, who is a musician. At home, she shares her life with Bug, a beloved black cat.
